I’m not sure how they do it, but the GSE committee snuck in 3 unscheduled touristy destinations today. The first visit was the Inuyama (Hakutei) Castle that sits high on a hill. We climbed up 5 stories (very steep steps) to the top of the castle for an absolutely amazing view.
Then we were off to the beautiful Uraku-en garden for a nice relaxing walk amongst the bamboo forests and rocky paths.
Our last touristy item was a 13km long boat ride down the Kisogawa River. We saw many rare and unusual rock formations as well as took in the scenic fall colors. Did I mention we also survived 8 exhilarating rapids? (It was a bit chilly.)
